FEELING GOOD?
We hope you’re all doing awesome! As always, let’s get to it – we’ve got plenty to cover today.
GLOBAL TIKTOK TREND (SOUND) OF THE WEEK
![]() 270k likes | ‘Bout It | JMSNGenre: Contemporary R&B Here’s a sound that’s beautiful in how simple it is. It’s calm, clear, and has no unnecessary fuss. The sounds “oohh, eeaahh, oohhh, eeeh” remind of a cheering sound, like something’s being hyped up, which makes it great for videos related to athletes, dreams, etc. Takeaways— Viral sounds can be pretty quiet and “boring" — “Background” sounds suit some things extra well |
LOCAL TIKTOK TREND (SOUND) OF THE WEEK
Norway & Sweden
![]() 52k views | Later Bitches | The Prince KarmaGenre: Electronic house / dance This is an extremely recognizable song (creating a hook) with a clear party feeling. It delivers a message that you’re doing something fun and perhaps even stupid, which gets people pumped. It’s already established among Gen Z, and there’s super clear relatability with the party vibe and captions commonly used. Takeaways— Party songs that get you pumped are great — want to get excited — Implicit meaning is awesome for creating a trend |
WHAT’S HAPPENING IN SOCIAL MEDIA:
YouTube launches AI inspiration tools

YouTube is launching 3 major AI-powered inspiration tools for creators that you can find in the inspirations tab. First off, YouTube will now feature a Brainstorm Video Ideas tool, where it uses past videos and comments to help you find new video concepts. There will also be a Hooks tool where you input your idea and YouTube helps you find an engaging start. While not as cool, you can also Quick Save ideas easily from YouTube’s Idea List.
Why this matters for music marketing
Creating new content all the time around your music can be stressful and very difficult (duh), but with this could get noticeably easier. Even if you don’t end up using YouTube’s suggestions, it’s always nice to get some fresh ideas to get inspired.
So, this will help music marketers get more great content out there.

TIKTOK VIDEO OF THE WEEK:
Walking past my dog

This adorable dog clip has been going enormously viral on TikTok with over 70M views, despite the creator being fully unknown before. Here’s why it’s performed so unreasonably well:
— #1. Super straight to the point caption that tells you what’s going to happen, and since you really want to see if the dog recognizes the owner or not, you continue watching (excellent hook)
— #2. Extreme cuteness from the dog which makes people re-watch the clip many times and share it with friends (shareability)
— #3. Great relaxing sound that you don’t mind hearing over and over again. It also amplifies the emotion of the video despite nothing exciting going on
MUSIC EVENT OF THE WEEK:
New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival

The 2025 New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival celebrates its 55th year with super cool artists like Pearl Jam, Lil Wayne, and Kacey Musgraves + a bunch of local legends. Beyond music, there’s also focus on New Orleans culture through food, art, and community stuff. Drawing 500,000 attendees, it’s undoubtedly a premier event.
For music marketers, Jazz Fest offers tons of audience engagement and really rich content opportunities. It also puts the spotlights on Southern way of life in the US, and from that there should be plenty of inspiration combined with the incredible line-up.
TIP OF THE WEEK
How to make short-form content relatable

If you want your content to go viral it should almost always be relatable. Relatability makes a person instantly enjoy the video, while the opposite is also true. So it’s a no-brainer :) You can create relatability in an infinite number of ways, but here’s a few tips:
How to get it right
— #1. Use a casual setup that’s clean but not overly staged
— #2. Let real emotions show like laughter, excitement, nerves, and even mistakes (show you’re human)
— #3. Nail the caption and write something people instantly can relate to. It could be a situation, a feeling, and a whole lot more
— #4. Great storytelling is more important than technicals, so don’t get stuck on perfecting the filming if the idea/script isn’t 100% awesome
— #5. Use natural language for caption and/or speaking, even if it’s scripted. Long and difficult words suck… You’re not here to impress your English teacher
— #6. Use a relatable sound such as a song everyone knows or a song that is known for delivering a relatable message that suits the video
PARASITION: Campaign breakdown
![]() 2,500+ views | Tjuvjakt | Bara vi, bara jag, bara duGenre: Pop This song is a coming Summer hit. Our goal was to create high-energy dance videos that promote the song in it’s purposed essence. In the example video, the creator did an awesome job with perfect lighting, great angle, smooth lip syncing, and a short yet strong caption (creating engagement and a hook). Campaign learnings— High-energy dance-related videos tend to work really well — Allowing creators to make their own version of a content idea sparks creativity and makes the content more engaging |
ROUND-UP
— Calm and simple can be the most viral sound in the world
— Party songs with a rebellious touch are awesome
— Super viral content can 100% come from completely unknown creators
— High-energy dance content is still a TikTok winner
— Short-form content should almost always be relatable with casual setus, real emotions, impactful captions, and fitting sounds (be human)
— YouTube will now help you with brainstorming and creating better videos
— Bad Bunny, Taylor Swift, and The Weeknd are still on top, and Pop is what’s played the most
